Achievement
Dr Sarala Ravindran acquired her MBBS degree from The Tamilnadu Dr MGR Medical University in 2002. Her career in histopathology began in 2006 with the histopathology unit in Penang General Hospital and later obtained her Master of Pathology (Histopathology) from University of Malaya in 2013.
She began her professional vocation as a Clinical Specialist in Division of Anatomical Pathology, University Malaya Medical Centre in 2013. She completed her observership in the Department of Cellular Pathology, St James’s University Hospital, Leeds and was subsequently conferred fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists, United Kingdom in 2016.
Later, Dr Sarala Ravindran was appointed as a histopathologist in St James’s University Hospital, Leeds, United Kingdom and served there until 2019 before her return to Malaysia. Her subspecialties include gynaecological, breast and gastrointestinal pathology with special interest in neuropathology.
